Solar-plus-storage agrivoltaic installation commissioned on O’ahu
Data shows that Hawaii is the state with the highest oil consumption and the highest electricity costs in the country. Currently, Hawaii's electricity costs 41.60 cents per kilowatt-hour, which is three times the average electricity cost in the United States. The Hawaii Clean Energy Plan is working to change the way energy is planned and delivered in the state.

A 12.5-megawatt solar power plant and 50 megawatt-hour energy storage system are now operational on O’ahu, Hawaii's most populous and third largest island.

The energy produced by the project is expected to reduce Oahu's fossil fuel consumption by 750,000 barrels of oil and reduce related pollution and greenhouse gas emissions.
