Germany added 780 MW of solar power installed capacity in January
The Bundesnetzagentur reported that the new photovoltaic installed capacity in January reached 780 MW, while the solar installed capacity in January 2022 was 420 MW.

With the support of the national feed-in tariff (FIT) plan, the main driving force of the photovoltaic power generation market still comes from the photovoltaic system below 300 kW. The total capacity of systems of this scale installed by developers last year was about 526.5 MW.

By the end of January this year, Germany's cumulative photovoltaic power generation capacity has reached 68.2 GW, and the total number of projects has reached 2.7 million. Bavaria is the state with the largest photovoltaic installed capacity in Germany, with a total capacity of 18.8 GW, by Baden-Wertenburg with a total capacity of 8.37 GW, and North Rhine-Westphalia with a total capacity of about 7.7 GW.

The level of on-grid electricity price will no longer be adjusted according to the power generation in the previous months. The on-grid electricity price will remain unchanged until the end of January 2024. According to the size of the system, the electricity price ranges from 0.0620 euros (0.0658 dollars) per kilowatt to 0.1340 euros per kilowatt hour.
