Funding of 7 billion US dollars! The United States Environmental Protection Agency provides funding for low-income families
According to foreign media reports, the US Environmental Protection Agency has recently launched a $7 billion competitive funding program aimed at providing funding for residential photovoltaic projects in low-income and vulnerable communities.



Michael Regan, Director of the United States Environmental Protection Agency, said, "This historic investment in the photovoltaic industry will drive the development and deployment of millions of residential photovoltaic projects in the United States, protect the Earth, achieve environmental justice, save money for household users, and create high paying jobs.



According to a funding opportunity notice released by the United States Environmental Protection Agency, the agency plans to provide up to 60 grants through the "National Photovoltaics" program to states, regions, tribes, municipalities, and eligible non-profit organizations in the United States. The recipient can use this funds to expand low-income photovoltaic projects or initiate new projects.



Photovoltaic+energy storage and community photovoltaic systems may also receive support from this funding.



The US Environmental Protection Agency will provide funding of $25 million to $100 million for small photovoltaic projects, $100 million to $250 million for medium-sized photovoltaic projects, and up to $400 million for large photovoltaic projects.



The organization will evaluate this plan based on several indicators, including whether it can save more than 20% of electricity bills, provide flexible benefits during power outages, and support labor development.



According to regulations from the United States Environmental Protection Agency, applicants from the District of Columbia and Puerto Rico must submit a notice of intention by July 31st. Other regions, municipalities, and eligible non-profit organizations must submit a notice of intent before August 14th. Tribes and inter tribal alliances must submit a notice of intent before August 28th. The US Environmental Protection Agency is expected to provide funding starting in July 2024.



The 'All Photovoltaics' program is part of a $27 billion greenhouse gas reduction fund provided by the US Environmental Protection Agency, authorized by the Inflation Reduction Act, aimed at incentivizing financing and private capital for greenhouse gas and air pollution reduction projects.



The US Environmental Protection Agency has announced that it will launch a $14 billion National Clean Investment Fund funding competition to expand the deployment of clean energy, and a $6 billion Clean Community Investment Accelerator funding competition to provide financing for clean energy through community lending institutions.
