Inside the Assembly of a Custom 50kW/352kWh Energy Storage Cabinet

Watch the assembly of a customized 50kW/352kWh commercial energy storage cabinet integrating battery modules, inverter, cooling, fire protection and EMS.

24/ 2026.Juli

This customized 50kW/352kWh energy storage cabinet is currently moving through assembly at the Bluesun factory.

The video shows the battery modules already installed inside the cabinet. The inverter, cooling system, fire protection equipment and EMS will be integrated and tested before the unit is prepared for delivery.

Unlike a standard configuration, this system uses a larger battery capacity with a moderate power output. The 50kW/352kWh design is intended for projects that need longer operating time rather than high short-term output.

System Overview

  • Rated power: 50kW
  • Battery capacity: 352kWh
  • System type: Customized commercial and industrial BESS
  • Installation format: Integrated energy storage cabinet

The short video gives a closer look at the cabinet during production, with the battery modules already mounted and the internal layout taking shape.

Why Use a 50kW/352kWh Configuration?

Power and battery capacity do not always need to increase at the same rate.

In this project, the 50kW power rating determines how much load the system can support at one time, while the 352kWh battery capacity provides a longer discharge period.

This type of configuration may be suitable for applications such as:

  • Backup power for critical commercial loads
  • Solar energy storage for evening use
  • Time-of-use electricity management
  • Peak shaving for factories and commercial buildings
  • Sites with unstable grid supply

The actual operating time will depend on the facility load, usable battery capacity, system efficiency and reserve settings.

What Is Integrated Inside the Cabinet?

The cabinet is designed to bring the main storage components together in one unit.

  • Battery modules and BMS store energy and monitor battery status.
  • Inverter or PCS converts power between the battery and the facility.
  • Cooling system helps maintain a stable operating temperature.
  • Fire protection system supports safe operation and emergency response.
  • EMS manages charging and discharging according to the selected operating strategy.

Integrating these components in the factory can reduce on-site wiring and simplify installation compared with assembling separate equipment at the project location.

Testing Before Delivery

Once assembly is complete, the cabinet will move through a series of inspections and tests.

These normally include:

  • Internal wiring inspection
  • Battery communication checks
  • PCS and EMS communication testing
  • Charge and discharge testing
  • Cooling system verification
  • Safety and protection checks

The purpose is to confirm that the battery, inverter, controls and protection systems work together correctly before shipment.

Built Around the Actual Project

This unit shows why commercial energy storage is often configured around the site rather than selected only from a fixed product list.

The 50kW output matches the required power level, while the larger 352kWh battery capacity provides longer operating time. This allows the system to better match the customer’s load and energy management goals.

Bluesun also offers a standard 30kW/50kW all-in-one industrial energy storage system for commercial and industrial applications, with different battery capacities available according to project requirements.
